Status Of Your Merit Increase

AAUP is happy to announce that all faculty and librarians will receive their merit increases in their December 14th paycheck. (Although some of you may have received the merit in an earlier paycheck).

The merit increases are retroactive to 9/2/07 and based on your salary as of 9/1/07. As such, you will receive a one-time retroactive merit payment. AAUP has confirmed that your one-time retroactive merit payment will also be reflected in your December 14th paycheck.

Please take the time to review your December 14 paycheck to ensure you received the appropriate merit increase and retroactive payment.

UMDNJ has provided AAUP with the merit increase information for each faculty member. If UMDNJ has not notified you of your merit increase percentage, you may call AAUP, and we will provide it to you.

You are eligible for the September 2, 2007 2% (2.5% for SN faculty & Librarians) Across-the-Board and Merit increases (between .25 - 4.0% for RWJMS, SOM, SPH, NJMS, NJDS faculty or between .25 - 5.0% for SN faculty & Librarians) if you were hired on or prior to February 1, 2007. If you were hired on or before February 1, 2007 and have not received your Across-the-Board or Merit increases, please contact AAUP.
